MACHINE REBUILD MECHANIC – 1st SHIFT
This hourly position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipes in industrial establishments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Uses hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, measuring instruments, fork trucks, and aerial equipment in the proper manner.
- Reads and follows specifications, blueprints and manuals.
- Installs hydraulic tubing.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Operates cutting and welding equipment to cut and join metal parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.
- Works in confined spaces and follows proper safety rules accordingly.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime(OT) as assigned.
- Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Journeyman License, associate degree or higher is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: Must have or be willing to obtain high-pressure hydraulic pipe welding certification. Valid driver’s license required and a willingness to be licensed for powered industrial equipment.
Experience: Two or more years’ experience including using a wide range of hand and powered tools.
