CNC Machine Operator 3rd Shift

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR – 3rd Shift

Machine Operator is an entry level position into CNC machining and requires great attention to detail. Much of the shift will be spent performing quality inspections to ensure that each part produced is perfect.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Reviews SWAT charts at the beginning of each shift to determine if a deviation has been added or any changes have been made and understand standard work practices.
• Understands and performs inspection for machining defects.
• Understands and performs gaging per work instructions.
• Understands and follows Kanban and bar coding system.
• Achieves expected parts per hour (EPH).
• Completes hour by hour boards and enter data into ignition system.
• Operates machining equipment per specifications.
• Informs Shift Manager or Production Manager of downtime and scrap levels above designated threshold.
• Assists in break relief as directed by manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager or Shift Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management. 
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours and overtime (OT) as assigned. 

• Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

Follows all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Policy regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Certifications/Licenses: None

Experience: 1 year experience in high volume/fast-paced manufacturing. 6 months experience as a CNC operator (non-manual CNC machines, Fanuc Controls) including changing inserts and tools and completing offsets; prior experience on Fuji preferred.
