SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for:
- Assist in controlling expenses.
- Provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements.
- Interpret and enforce company policies.
- Assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations;.
- Prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately
- Solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up.
- Work with department heads to meet production, quality, yields, and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product.
- Inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of house keeping, safety, sanitation, and security.
- Supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: (It is highly recommended that you attach a resume)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of related industry 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws;
- Interview, hire, and train team members
- Plan, assign, and direct work;
- Monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members;
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality, yields, cost, and efficiencies strong math ability a plus.
