POSITION SUMMARY
Utilizes available manual and CNC machinery to build, maintain, and modify die cast dies, trim dies and machine components.

Education: Two-year technical degree or four-year apprenticeship program.
Certifications: N/A
Experience: Minimum of 4 years on the job training in a related field such as tool and die, mold making, or CNC operation may be substituted for educational requirement.
Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematics: Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning and Problem Solving: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Training: Ability to develop set-ups and operate specific CNC machine and metal removal machines. Ability to use micrometers and precision measure devices.
