CASTER – 2nd & 3rd SHIFT
This hourly position ensures customers receive quality die cast products by casting components using a casting press and sending quality castings to the trim press.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Performs all position operations as directed by SWAT charts and supervisors.
- Performs typical casting press operations to support production goals in accordance with the Gibbs Shop Floor Management System.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Group lead/Casting Technician.
- Analyzes die problems and alerts supervisor of any problems.
- Performs minor die repairs and assists in die changes and sleeve changes.
- Responsibilities may require use of a safety harness which will require successful completion of Fall Protection-Harness Specific Training.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
- Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience: One year manufacturing experience (molten metal environment preferred).
Environment: Hot, non-temperature-controlled environment.
