Quality Technician - 3rd Shift (Comac)
Are you someone who notices the details others miss? Do you take pride in making sure things are done right the first time? We’re looking for a Quality Technician to be the quality presence on the production floor and help ensure our products meet both customer expectations and our internal standards.
This is a hands-on, team-focused role where you’ll work closely with production to protect our customers and support continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the go-to quality contact on the production floor
- Support production and quality operators to ensure accurate measurements and inspections
- Run and assist with CMM (manual and programmed) inspections
- Help train and develop inspectors and production team members
- Make data-driven quality decisions to protect our customers
- Partner with cross-functional teams on root cause analysis (5 Why, cause & effect, defect recreation, etc.)
- Lead and coordinate containment activities when issues arise
- Audit production lines and inspection areas to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Review inspection and production data to identify trends and reduce scrap
- Assist in developing control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards, and quality documentation
- Raise the flag and stop production when non-conforming product or processes put customers at risk
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
- Complete required process and dock audits
- Work overtime and weekends as needed
What You Bring
- 1+ year of experience in a quality-related role
- Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T
- Experience with measurement tools and SPC
- Familiarity with control plans, inspection standards, and customer prints
- Ability to interpret data, engineering standards, and procedures
- Problem-solving mindset with confidence to make fact-based decisions
- ISO or IATF16949 audit training (a plus)
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (preferred but not required)
- A team-first attitude and willingness to be hands-on on the production floor
