WAREHOUSEPERSON—2ND SHIFT (Tech)

POSITION SUMMARY

Support Gibbs Die Castings strategic Initiatives through Customer Satisfaction, On-time delivery, Reduction of inventory levels, Reduction of premium freight occurrences, Level scheduling, and Cost reduction activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Moves product by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment to maintain flow of material.
• Unloads customer dunnage, packaging materials, cardboard, components, parts, etc. while ensuring all is in its proper location.
• Loads carriers with outgoing parts and ensure part, skid quantity, and carrier match the bill of lading (BOL).
• Follows the first in first out (FIFO) procedure when shipping parts.
• Processes product to customer specifications (band, stretch wrap, pallet verification (export), container type, routing tag verification, weight count, labels, etc.).
• Maintains inventory accuracy by pulling stock per pick list, and notifies supervisor if inventory is not available that is documented on the pick list.
• Maintains inventory accuracy by performing accurate physical inventories as scheduled.
• Maintains general awareness of warehouse and other factors affecting shipping product on time.
• Communicates pertinent information (Parts on Hold, Inventory Discrepancies, Damaged or Deteriorated Material, Maintenance issues, Safety concerns, etc.) to Supervisor.
• Pulls and processes material from warehouse to achieve on time delivery, carrier window times, etc.
• Participates in problem solving activities as applicable.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime(OT) as assigned.
• Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certifications/Licenses: Requires a willingness to be licensed for powered industrial equipment.  A Class B CDL is preferred but not required. 

Experience: Minimum six (6) months experience to include forklift operation.
